Obituary

Adrina Grayson Moreland affectionately known as "Woman" was born on April 30, 1948 in Egremont, MS to the late Willie and Alberta Houzah.

Adrina accepted Christ at an early age and united with Mt. Ollie M.B. Church, where she served faithfully as an usher until her health failed under the leadership of Rev. Willie J. Dorsey. She attended Henry Weathers High School in Rolling Fork, MS. She attended Kennedy King College in Chicago, IL where she majored in nursing. She began raising her family and began her career at Jackson Rural Health Clinic where she later retired after 37 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband Milton Moreland; parents Willie and Alberta Houzah; (6) brothers: Robert, Willie, and Richard Houzah, Tommy and Willie Ed Hanes, and Lonnie Franklin, Jr.; (4) sisters: Louise Wheatley, Ethel Mae Kemp, Shirley Barksdale, and Jimmy Brownlee.

Adrina "Woman" leaves to cherish her most precious memories to her six children, Anthony (Vasa) Houzah, Sr., Valerie (David) Brown, Charles (Jamillah) Warren, Luster (Julia) Grayson, Jr., Samuel Grayson, and Leslie (Ralph) Grayson LeFlore. Through her second marriage to Milton Moreland, she leaves six children: Michael, Alvin, Barry, and Milton Moreland, Jr., Beverly Jones, and Gloria Moreland Gentry; 16 Grandchildren: William Houzah, Anthony (LaToya) Houzah, Jr, Luster Grayson, III, Kimberly Houzah, Jeremy Grayson, Aja Buckhalter, DeAundre Canady, Lyndsey and Taylor Grayson, Grayson Leflore, Jaleesa, Tenesha, and Bianca Warren, Tyleshia Simms, Yolonda Adams, and Sandra Curry. 14 Great- Grandchildren; She leaves memories with her siblings: Rosie Jones, Eula McIntyre, Pecarey Arnold, Ruth Ann (James) Williams, Martha Ann (James) Morris, Ida Dickerson, Savannah Williams, and Larry (Beatrice) Franklin. 2 Aunts: Beatrice Turner and Louise Andrews; 3 sister in laws: Elizabeth Tubwell, Louise Fuller and Teretha Thompson; 3 brother in laws: Little John Moreland, Eugene Lane and David Kemp. She also leaves a host of nieces , nephews, cousins, and friends.

Adrina was loved by many and touched the lives of "Everyone," she came in contact with. She was truly a PHENOMENAL WOMAN! She will forever be in our hearts.
