Graveside services for Benard Barnes, 78, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20, at Green Chapel Cemetery in Rolling Fork, MS.  Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 19, in Adele Walker Memorial Chapel at the funeral home.

Bernard Barnes, son of the late Bobby and Delia (Collins) Barnes, resided in Rolling Fork, MS and lived a full life until God chose to call him home November 10, 2020. At an early age, Bernard confessed his belief in Christ and served faithfully in his community as a good neighbor, in his profession as a road construction worker for 28 years, and as a father to his biological and adopted children. His devotion and love for family will forever be cherished by his siblings: Thomas (Carla Jean) Barnes, Michael Barnes, Stanley Barnes, Barbara (Barnes) Windom all of Rolling Fork, MS and Robert Barnes of Chicago, IL; his children: Debra Leavy of Greenville, MS, Bernard (Sharon) Barnes of Cary, NC, Barbara (David) Hall of Rolling Fork, MS, Issac (LaToya) Barnes of  Biloxi, MS, Ray (Andrea) Stewart of Jackson, MS, Jacquez (Markala) Smith of Greenville, MS, Courtney Atkins of Indianola, MS and Oreal Atkins of Pensacola, FL; and his former spouses: Lillie Bell Barnes and Chandra Thomas.
