Carl Douglas Miles, Sr. was born on May 25, 1958. He died on November 20, 2024 at his home in Rolling Fork, MS.
He attended school at Rolling Fork Public Schools in Rolling Fork, MS.
He married his wife, April Miles, in 1980.
Carl was a surveyor with Carter Brothers in Rolling Fork, MS. In 1979, he worked as a steel fabricator at Marathon LeTourneau in Vicksburg, MS. He also worked as a steel fabrication foreman at Friedman Iron & Metal Company in Greenville, MS. In 1996, he established Iron House Fabrication Company in Greenville and later relocated to Rolling Fork in 2009. In 2016, he opened a tree cutting service in Rolling Fork.
He was preceded in death by his son, Bud D. Miles.
He is survived by his wife, April Miles; sons, Carl D. (Andriea) Miles, Jr. and Bruce Jared (Beth) Miles; sisters: Dorothy (Alan), Janie, Frances and Linda (John); brother, Lester (Susan); and grandchildren: Caleb, Wyatt, Myah, Cole and Luna.
The active pallbearers were Lester Miles, Jr., Joseph Cook, Jordon Shell, Kenneth Matheson, Richard Winslow and Bubba Wilson.
