Colee (Lil Buddy) Jackson Jr. was born on April 4, 1948 in Arcola, MS to the late Mary and Colee Jackson Sr. He was the oldest of thirteen children. He attended public school in Arcola and Hollandale, MS.  At an early age he professed his faith in Jesus Christ. Colee transitioned from this life on May 12, 2024 at DRMC.

On July 27, 1966 he married the love of his life, the late Gearldine Mason Jackson. To this union seven children were born and raised in love. Along with their seven children, him and Gearldine raised their God children, nieces, nephews, cousins, and grandchildren.

Colee worked for Bradshaw and Prager paint company in Chicago for 22 years (1977-1999), where he retired from before relocating back to Mississippi. He worked on the farm in Rolling Fork and Hollandale as farm manager for over 20 years until his health started to decline last year. Throughout his illness, he always had a smile on his face and would say something to make you laugh.

Colee was predeceased by his parents Mary and Colee Jackson Sr., wife Gearldine Jackson, sons, Jerome Mason and Samuel Jackson, and brothers, Alfred Jackson Sr. and Joe Jackson.

He leaves to cherish his memories: three sons: Jack Mason of Hollandale, MS, Colee (Chandra) Jackson III of Chicago, IL and Nathan Jackson of Vicksburg, MS; three daughters: Karla (Al) Parker of Hopkinsville, KY, Brenda Jackson of Rolling Fork, MS, and Myel (Randy) Johnson of Rockford, IL. Six sisters: Bertha Carter, Sentha Bullock, Sallie Burden, and Martha Jackson, all of Rolling Fork, MS, Gloria Green of Cahokia, IL; and Cynthia (Terrence) McCrae of Meridian, MS. Four brothers: Freddie (Willie Mae) Jackson and Robert (Rosie) Jackson Sr. both of Rolling Fork, MS; Glenn (Sharelle) Jackson of Yazoo City, MS; and Willie (Floydia) Jackson of  Southaven, MS; and two aunts Charity Williams and Serilla Twillie.

Colee also is survived by his God children: Bishop Eric Paul (Michelle) Davis of Kankakee, IL, Teneshia Myles and Ieshia Myles both of South Carolina. Fourteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grands, two great great-grands, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
