Corine Watts Lovett was born on June 16, 1927, to the late Louis and Susie Askew Watts in Browns, Alabama, Dallas County. Corine was the ninth of twelve, all who proceeded her in death, Herman, Frank, Roosevelt, Louis, William, Coleman, Robert, Thelma, Delina, Bettie and Willie. She cherished her siblings and often recounted tales of their lives in Alabama. She relocated to Mississippi, residing with her aunt, Lucinda Christian.

Corine was baptized in the Christian Faith at an early age and united with the Christian Light M.B. Church. She lived a Christian life and read her bible daily until her health failed. She was quiet, reserved, respectful, and always had sound advice to share with her family. For fun, Corine like to read, cook, drink coffee, worked crossword puzzles and watch sports with her family.

Corine was employed in the Anguilla Line Consolidated School District as a cafeteria worker. She derived pleasure from in serving with her coworkers.

Corine had a deep love for her family. During the holidays, her home was filled with family, while the aromas of good food filled the kitchen, which was the heart of every gathering. Corine had a natural talent for cooking. Every day she prepared breakfast and dinner for her family until she was no longer able to. Corine nurtured and shared in the upbringing of most of her grandchildren and great grandchildren, most of them often spent summer and holidays.

On Wednesday, June 11, 2025 Corine responded to the voice of Jesus calling her to his Heavenly Home. Two children preceded her death, Mary Ann Davis and Morris Lovett, two grandchildren Catera Bankhead and Ezra Davis and two beloved son-in-laws, Ronald (Earl) Anderson and Charles Philipps. She was soon joined by her son, Cornelius "Neal" Lovett. Cherishing her memory and honoring her legacy are her children, six sons Clarence (Bonita) Campbell, Charles Lovett, Barry (Linda) Lovette, Micheal Lovett, Earl (Winnell) Lovett, Joseph Lovett, six daughters, Susie Philipps, Gearldean (Eli) Williams, Lucille Lovett, Donna Anderson, Barbara (Jimmie) Webster, and Brenda Lovette, and a special grandson Kameron Lovette. Honoring her memories and legacy are thirty-nine grandchildren, sixty-five great-grandchildren and twenty-two great-great grandchildren and a multitude of cousins and other family members.
