Cornelius "Neal" Lovett was born on June 24, 1954 in Anguilla, MS  and went to his eternal home on Saturday, June 14, 2025.  He was the beloved son of the late Morris 'Joseph'  and Corine Watts Lovett.

Neal, as he was affectionately known always had a infectious smile for his fifteen siblings and all who had the privilege of knowing him.  His journey on earth was one marked by love, compassion, and faith in God.  He was baptized early in his teen years and his passing has left a void in the many hearts of his family, friends and many whose life was touched by him.

Neal was a high school athlete who love sports, an excellent football player who would strike fear in his opponents. He played softball on the local team for many years and was described by his brothers as one of the best softball players to play the game locally.

Neal worked as a carpenter by trade, he was meticulous in his work and enjoyed helping others. His work ethic was unparalleled, he often worked long hours and on weekends to ensure comfort and security of those he served.  He was passionate about his family and relished visiting and talking with them, watching football, especially the Ravens, western movies, listening to the blues, working on projects and 'fixing' anything. He had a rare gift of making others smile, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed his path.

Although Neal's physical presence will no longer grace our lives, his love and spirit, along with brother, Morris Lovette, II and sister Mary Ann Davis, who preceded him in death will continue to uplift us and be a blessing that we carry forth in love and compassion in all that we do.   Cherishing his memories are a special friend, Doris McCullum, son Reggie Burks, two grandchildren, six brothers Clarence (Bonita) Campbell, Charles Lovett, Barry (Linda) Lovett, Micheal Lovett, Earl (Winnell) Lovett, Joseph Lovett, seven sisters, Susie Philipps, Charlestine Dot Carter, Gearldine (Eli) Williams, Lucille Lovett, Donna Anderson, Barbara (Jimmie) Webster, and Brenda Lovett, nieces, nephews, and a multitude of cousins, family members and friends.
