My Life

I was born on September 25, 1963, to the late MettieZee Gayles and David Fain in Panther Burn, Mississippi, and baptized as a Bethel Missionary Baptist Church member in Panther Burn, MS, in early childhood. I remained faithful as a disciple of Jesus Christ throughout my life, making Omni Church of Memphis my final membership home until June 2022.

Upon graduating from Anguilla High School (Class of 1981), I enrolled at Delta State University. Afterward, I developed a fulfilling career in the retail industry, working diligently and competitively as a sales agent with leading retailers, such as J.C. Penney, Sears, and Dillard's.

While married to my first husband, Joe Hall Jr., two children were born from this union, Sheveeta A. Gayles and Jeffrey Gayles, who preceded in transition. I'd later give birth to Terrence Hall, who resides in Greenville, MS. In my second marriage, Mr. Michael Summerville and I relocated to Memphis, TN.

Great-grand: Cash Gayles. Unique relationships with "special cousins": Linda Faye Stevenson and Carolyn Williams (preceded in transition).
