Graveside services for Harry Smith will be Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Cynthia Diana Cemetery in Anguilla. Viewing will be Friday at 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Adele Walker Memorial Chapel at Walker Funeral Home.

Mr. Smith was born on April 19, 1953 to Annie Lee Davis and Robert Sunny Jones in Rolling Fork, MS.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Jo Smith. He is survived by his two sons: Shaun Christian Smith and Karl Maurice Smith; grandchild Xavier Nathaniel Smith; twelve siblings; twenty-nine nieces and nephews; one sister-in- law and one brother-in- law.

Harry attended church at Bicentennial Chapel in Huntsville, AL. He enjoyed playing basketball, watching and going to sporting events, watching movies and listening to music.

Harry served in the United States Army for over twenty years as a Military Police Officer. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Jackson State University. In addition to his Bachelor's Degree, he also earned a Master's Degree in Special Education from Jacksonville State University, a Master's degree in History from Central Michigan, and an EDS degree from Alabama A&M.

Harry worked as an Assistant Professor at Virginia State University for Military Studies for five years and as a Special Education Teacher for the Madison County School System for sixteen years. While working for the Madison County School System, he was the Assistant Coach for Middle School's Football Team as well as the High School's Varsity Football Team. He also served as Head Coach for the Middle School Girls Basketball Team, High School Junior Varsity Football Team, Freshmen, Junior Varsity, and Varsity Tennis Team.
