Obituary

Henry was born July 14, 1947, in Humphrey County, MS to the late Richard Cason, Sr. and Josephine Lee Cason. He transitioned from this life into his heavenly home on Tuesday, March 12,2024. He attended elementary school at Moore Elementary and high school at O'Bannon High School. He worked in farming until he was smitten by the desire to become a trucker. That was his primary occupation until a decline in his health made it impossible for him to continue . From an early age he loved comic books, western television shows, fast cars, fishing and hunting. Later in his adult life he continued to hunt, fish and drive 18-wheelers. Henry also grew fond of riding motorcycles; so much he joined a motorcycle club, the Cobras where he was affectionately known as "Snake."

Henry spent most of his adult life in Gary, IN and the Chicago area. After returning to Mississippi, Henry made the greatest decision of his life and accepted Christ. He was baptized at Mount Tabor in Hopedale, MS by his Pastor Bruce Dorsey.

Henry was preceded in death by his mother and father, four sisters: Carrie, Dorothy, Louise and Lessie B; five brothers: Napoleon, Sylvester, Richard, John and Willie, and his daughter Tammy. He is survived by his wife, Mary Catherine Jones Cason, three sons: Henry (Tamiko) Cason , Jr, of Chicago, IL, Willie James (Japatra) Cason of DeWitt, IA, James Edward Cason of Gary, IN, his eight daughters: Phillis S. (Joseph) Harris of Clarksdale, MS, Carolyn Boyles, Sherilla (Dewayne) Gage of Chicago, IL, LaToya (DeShun) Swanson of Phoenix, AZ, Lucille A. (Frelix) Cato of Milton, FL, Alisha (Clifford) Jones of Gary, IN, Christina Sly and Dorothy Cason of Houston, TX.

He also leaves behind , one brother Benjamin Reynolds(Carolyn) of Little Rock, AR. Two sisters :Mary Cason of Little Rock, AR and Josephine Cason Lawrence of Dallas, TX; and the love of 31 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren.

He also leaves a  special friend, Lockye Crawford Robinson and her family, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends from near and far.
