Reflection of Life

Mr. Jessie Moore was born on August 29, 1949, to the late Joddie Lee and Rosa (Rosie) Lee Moore in Starkville, MS. He confessed his life to Jesus Christ at an early age and was a faithful servant and worshipper to God until he transitioned from this life.

During the early morning hours of February 6, 2024 as he laid peacefully in his bed, Jessie was called home to be with the Lord. Heaven welcomed its newest angel and took him to his final resting place.

Jessie attended Rolling Fork High School where he played football. After his education tenure, he proceeded into the workforce where he began his career as a truck driver. He started out as a dump truck driver in Shelby, MS where he gained his training. Then he proceeded to further his endeavors at Miller Transporters where he served over 30 years not only as a professional driver but a mentor and training expert in carrying Gasoline in 18-wheeler Tanker Trucks. He drove over 2 million miles without an accident and received many acknowledgments for his commitment and dedication to the company. He retired with many accolades and was awarded several plaques which displayed his excellence for being a superior driver and exceptional leader. Jessie was a hard worker who was a serial entrepreneur who owned several businesses in Rolling Fork, MS and a store in Hollandale, MS.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Mr. Joddie Lee Moore and Mrs. Rosa (Rosie) Lee Moore; Brothers: Mr. Willie Moore, Mr. J.C. Moore, Mr. L.C. Moore, and Mr. J. L. Moore; Sisters: Ms. Hattie Lee Beals, Ms. Louise Bailey and Ms. Bertha Banks.

Jessie leaves to cherish his memories his greatest treasures his son and daughter: Mr. Marrio (Takeya) Moore of Olive Branch, MS and Dr. Jessica Fordham of Madison, MS; One grandchild:Mattius Moore of  Olive Branch, MS; two (2) brothers: Mr.Tommie Lee (Paulette) Moore of Chicago, IL and Mr. Richard(Barbara) Moore of Atlanta GA; two (2) sisters: Ms. Mary Moore of Birmingham, AL and Mrs. Dorothy (Roy) Monk of San Antonio, TX;  and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Jessie Moore will be remembered as a God-fearing man, with a generous spirit, and a giving heart who ministered the word of God from the New Testament to all he met.
