Joyce Ann Brown, of Rockford, IL, departed this earthly life on November 25, 2024. She was born on August 16, 1956, in Anguilla, Mississippi to the late David and Mary Brown. Joyce lived in Rockford 39 years coming from Anguilla, Mississippi. She married C.L. Jackson, July 5, 2008. Joyce was employed as a custodian by Rockford Public School District 205 for 6 years. She was a member of Faith Walker Assembly, where she was baptized. Joyce graduated from Henry Weathers High School, in Rolling Fork, Mississippi and attended Valley State in Mississippi.

Joyce leaves to cherish many loving memories, her husband, C. L. Jackson; two daughters, Taquenia and Ashley Brown; son, Travis Brown; stepchildren, Rodrick (Arin) Hampton and Yolanda and Cedric Hampton; six grandchildren, Laquavien, Trevion, Shontrell, Rashon, Maliyah and Malik; four great grandchildren; six sisters, Mary Lovette, Ella Mae Jones, Queen Ester (Wesley) Berry, Jessie Mae (Larry) Meeks, Virginia (Greg) Morganfield and Betty Brown; four brothers, David (Valerie) Brown Jr., John W. (Delinda) Wiliams, Robert Earl (Ulinda) Brown and James Brown; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, Jesse and Helen Hayes and Shirley Braxton. She was predeceased by her parents; Mary and David Brown and two sisters, Joann Bol-linger and Dorothy Brown.
