We have been blessed with the presence of one who was truly a beacon. During her time, she has taken many paths, she has traveled many roads and touched so many along the way. Most of all, she has left a road map, monuments to help guide all in doing the best we can with this precious time we have been given.

Knottissia Stevenson was born August 25, 1978 in Greenville, Mississippi to Johnese Tyler and the late Virgie Stevenson. She confessed her belief in Christ and was baptized at an early age. She was a faithful member and sang in the choir of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

She attended Anguilla High School and graduated in 1996. She continued her education at Hinds Community College. Knottisia devotion and love for children, music and family will forever be cherished.

On January 29, 2025 the Lord God sent an Angel to bring Knottissia home to take her rest. Now she is resting in the arms of the Lord with the loved ones who preceded her in death, mother, Virgie Stevenson and sister Knakila Stevenson.

The legacy of Knottissia lives on with those who are left behind to mourn her passing but celebrate her loving memories: her father, Johnese Tyler, aunts, Jeanette and Linda Stevenson; uncles, Donnie Ray Stevenson and Joe Willie Stevenson; stepfather, Lester Atkins; three aunts and four uncles on her father side; five brothers and two sisters; one daughter, whom she reared as her own Shietha Jackson and her children, Amora and Khirous of Rolling Fork, MS; a special friend, Michael Smith; and a host of cousins and friends.

The Final Destination

The road that Knottissia has traveled has reached its final destination. Knottissia's transitioned from her earthly home to her heavenly abode is now complete. Now her spirit is abiding with the heavenly Father.
