Services for Kyrenia Bailey, 39, will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, at New Bethel M.B. Church in Mayersville, MS. Pastor O.H. Hall will be officiating. Public viewing will be held from 1- 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, in Adele Walker Memorial Chapel at the funeral home.

Kyrenia Tiakanese O'Neal Bailey (lovingly known as KoKoa) was born in Kankakee, Illinois to Gloria O'Neal- Jones and the late Otis Bell on November 24, 1981. Kyrenia professed her faith in Jesus Christ at a young age and joined New Bethel M.B. Church in Mayersville, Mississippi.

Kyrenia was educated in the South Delta School District. In May of 2000, she graduated from South Delta High School in Rolling Fork, Mississippi. After graduating from high school, she completed the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program at Hinds Community College and worked as a licensed CNA for several years. Kyrenia furthered her education and in 2013 she recieved her Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree from Jackson State University. For the last 7 years, she worked as a Case Manager in the Jackson Metropolitan area.

Kyrenia and Garrick Bailey were united in holy matrimony on December 23, 2007. To this union three beautiful children were born. Kyrenia was a devoted wife, an affectionate mother, and thoughtful daughter.

She enjoyed traveling and entertaining family and friends at her home. She also enjoyed chatting with her friends, decorating, shopping and helping others. Of all the things she accomplished thorughout her life, her GREATEST achievement was her well-blended family.

On December 23, 2020, she unexpectedly transitioned to eternal rest at Merit Health Central in Jackson, Mississippi.

Her father, Otis Bell; step-father, Percy Jones, Sr.; brother, Percy Jones, Jr.; and maternal grandparents, Will Smith and Jaunita Mallett preceded her in death.

Her loving heart will forever be treasured by her husband and soulmate Garrick Bailey; her precious daughters, Aiyana and A'Nylah Bailey; her baby boy, Aydin Bailey; her supportive and kind mother, Gloria O'Neal- Jones; step-son, Garrick Bailey, Jr.; step-daughter, Quinyatta Bailey; step-grandson, Kamarrion Steward; niece, Zariah Jones; brother-in-laws, Sherman Bailey, LaCarlos Bailey and Wilbert (Susan) Bailey; aunt, Mary O'Neal; uncles, Dwight (Cyndi) O'Neal, Cordell O'Neal and Robert Hunt; godson, Nicholas Robinson; god-brother, Joshua (Gwen) Russell; and a multitude of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousin, colleagues, very dear friends and sisters.
