Lenard Percy Diggs was born June 5, 1954, in Issaquena County, MS, the son of Henrietta T. Diggs and Willie Moore. His siblings- Lester Fleming, Henry (Bob) Moore, and Rosie Moore, preceded him in death. He departed this earth on February 29, 2020, following a vehicle accident on February 28, 2020.

Lenard attended school in Cary and Rolling Fork: Cary Elementary and Rolling Fork High School.

He carried within his heart a love for Christ and humanity. He joined St. Matthew M.B Church in 1970. He was constantly surrounded by those who liked being a part of his circle of conversation. Oh, he had much conversation that evoked lots of laughter. He had an uncanny way of provoking his siblings to states of frustration and reining them back in to states of calm and laughter.

He became skilled at electrical repair without any formal training. He also dabbled in auto mechanics. He earned a living with self-taught skills on various jobs across the years: hauling pulpwood with his father, cutting trees, laying pipelines, and other odd jobs.

God gave Lenard 65 plus years on earth! He lived a life filled with joy in family and his children. He and his mother were inseparable. Wherever he resided, she also resided. He loved his children and grandchildren, and they showed him much love continually.

Funeral Services will be held Sat. March 7, 2020 at Mt. Zion M.B Church in Cary MS, 39054 at 12:00pm. Special Viewing March 7, 2020 from 11:00am-12:00pm in Cary MS at Mt Zion  M.B Church.

Rev. Dr. Reginald Anderson will be officiating.

Burial will be at Cary Community Cemetery.
