Obituary

Deaconess Londy Carlisle Green was born July 8, 1966 to the late Willie Carlisle and Sarah Lee Braxton in Rolling Fork, MS. On April 13, 2026 she transitioned to eternal rest at St. Dominic Hospital, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering trust in God.

Londy, affectionately called "Linda", gave her life to Christ at an early age. She was a faithful member at The Greater New Bethel M.B. Church under the leadership of Pastor Obadiah Hall, where she served faithfully as a Deaconness, Assistant Praise Team Director, and Hospitality Manager. Londy graduated from Glen Allan High School in the Class of 1984. Later she attended Mississippi Delta Community College and studied Business Administration.

Londy met and married the love of her life James Tyrone Green in 1982 and they were together over 40 years, to this union two children were born, Jakel and Jamel.

Londy is predeceased by her parents; Willie Carlisle and Sarah Lee Braxton Carlisle, brothers Willie Carlisle Jr., Curtis Carlisle, and Milton Carlisle.

She was a devoted Mother and Mimi whose love knew no bounds. Above all, she loved the Lord and found great joy in praising and worshipping Him, a faith that guided her life with Grace and strength. A true fashionista, she had an eye for style and found joy not only in shopping, but in helping others bring their looks to life with confidence and grace. She was a proud fan of the Dallas Cowboys and found peace in reading and traveling the world. With a bold and adventurous spirit, she embraced life fully-whether on the open road riding her motorcycle or exploring new places.

She had a heart for service and was a constant source of encouragement, always uplifting those around her with warmth, wisdom, and kindness. She carried a radiant joy that filled every room, paired with a beautiful sense of humor that brought smiles to many.

Her creativity shined in all she did-from decorating with elegance to writing with remarkable penmanship and imagination. She had a gift for storytelling, often bringing ideas to life through plays and expressive creativity.

Her smile was unforgettable - bright, genuine, and capable of lighting up any space. She was beautiful personified, inside and out. Truly one of a kind, she was the original-never a copy-and her legacy will forever reign with love, strength, and grace.

While our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we are comforted in knowing that Londy is now held in the eternal embrace of her Lord and Savior. She is survived by her husband James Green, daughter, Jakel Carlisle (Gerald) Seaton, Son, Jamel Green; Grandchildren: Elias Jakel Brooks, Le'Auna Raylin Seaton, Londyn Kyler Smith, King Tieries Green, Rayna Paige Seaton, Jamel Tieries Green Jr.; Brothers, Lee Cluster Carlisle, James (Marilyn) Carlisle, Melvin (Geraldine) Carlisle, Elliot Carlisle; Sisters, Roberta (Charles) Willis and Juanita (Robert) White; Special Daughter, Vogue Mache' Brooks, and a host of nephews and nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends, and her church family, Greater New Bethel M.B.
