Richard and Fannie Mae Andrews Dortch bought a ticket for Maeola on November 5, 1949, to Widner AR, where she lived until she was 14. The family later moved to Blytheville AR in 1963. Maeola started her new life in this "Big City" and attended Harrison High School with the Senior Class of 1968. She loved the "Big City "life so much, that she decided to stay and picked up some travel buddies along the way, Larry Jr, Angela, Donnietha, Antoine, and Nicole. Maeola had such a huge heart that other passengers came on board…India and Andre. She showed them the meaning of unconditional love, family, and food. Maeola's infectious spirit, impeccable humor, and tough love when needed, were unmatched. She truly had a way with words, which was evident whenever she spoke.

Along her journey, she gave her life to Christ at an early age. She later chose to rededicate it at Solomon Temple and began to model Christ for her co-passengers as she continued her journey with Loving Jesus Ministries under Pastor Robert Parnell. This was her best gift to them because they would all soon get tickets to see the world on their own. As her traveling buddies began taking their trips, she was free to travel and journeyed to Texarkana AR. She met some great people and touched even more hearts. Her stay was not long, and she was buying another ticket to Mississippi. She would call this place home for many moons and tried several cities before settling in Anguilla. It was here that she joined Chapel of the Cross under Apostle Larry Bradford. She took all the love, wisdom, and recipes and shared them with her many friends in that area. She touched so many hearts, that her heart was eventually touched by Chester Ray.

They began life together as Mr. and Mrs. Chester Stigler on December 25, 2019. True to who she was, Maeola told Chester to pack it up because they had tickets to Monroe, LA. There she lived some of the best years with "The Love of My Life", as she described him. She had him taking trips all over the USA and Chester loved every minute of it. She showed him things that he had never seen before, while he kept her laughing even more. The happy couple planned to purchase tickets to a new place after the first of the new year, little did they know that another one had been reserved only for her. Purchased with the highest price, the Blood of Jesus Christ, she accepted her ticket on September 23, 2024, for her journey to eternal life.

Maeola was preceded in death by her parents. Four Sisters: Oretta Doss, Mattie Allen, Charlesetta Shaw, and Mary Mitchell. Five Brothers: Floyd Dortch, Richard Dortch, Charles Myers, Johnny Dortch, and Anthony Myers.

She leaves her cherished memories with her husband, Chester R. Stigler. Her Five Heartbeats, Three Daughters: Angela Williams (Dwight), Donnietha Bradford and Nicole Turner. Two Sons: Larry Bradford Jr and Antoine Taylor. Three Bonus Children: India Smith, Andre Golatt, and Robert Golatt. Five Stepchildren: Tekisha Stigler, Kentarius Gatson, Chester Stigler Jr, Antonio White, and Jewel Hersh.

She leaves Seven Granddaughters: Rannica Henderson, Britanny Bradford, Briunna Bradford, Takiyah Ridley, Shequinna Stone, Kooper Bruce, and Trynati Leverson. Eight Grandsons: Randy Henderson Jr. (Corie), Muhammed Kirkwood, Antoine Taylor Jr, Ladarian Bradford (Tyrany), Tyree Stewart, Antarion Taylor, Tadrian Taylor, Tylan Leverson.; Five Great Granddaughters: Angel Frazier, Keirsen Jones, Harmoni Bradford, Melodi Bradford, Bryelle Bradford; Six Great grandsons: Qwintorius Tatum Jr, Isaiah Frazier, Jayce Allen, Kendall Brown, King Henderson and Tyree Stewart Jr.; Five Sisters: Joyce Stennis, Leona Penn, Bernice Evans, Carrie Collins, Lorraine Harvey; Three Brothers: Melvin Foreman, Sylvester Myers and Carl Dortch; Three Bonus Sisters: Berlene Eppright, Effie Collins and Tammie Gross.

She also leaves a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, In-laws, Special Daughters and Sons, and many Special Friends.
