Graveside services for Ms.Maggie Andrews, 81, will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, at Mt. Ollie Church Cemetery in Egremont, MS. Pastor James L. Andrews will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, in Adele Walker Memorial Chapel at the funeral home.

Maggie Mae Andrews was born October 1, 1939, in Edwards, MS. to the late Albert and Roberta Stevenson- Powell. She was preceded in death by one (1) child, three (3) sisters, eight (8) brothers, three (3) step-brothers; and two (2) step-sisters.

Maggie Mae moved to the Delta in 1948. She confessed her faith in Christ at Mt. Ollie M.B. Church under the leadership of the late Rev. E.G. Montgomery. She served as a faithful usher for over 50 years until her health failed.

She was employed at various jobs, some of these include: farming, Deer Creek Compress, Delta Elastic, and Ripley Blackwell Headstart.

On Sunday January 3, 2021, she made her transition to be with the Lord.

She leaves to cherish her memories: six (6) children, Shirley McClain of Chicago, IL., Bertha (Micheal) Mullen of Batavia, IL. , James (Lisa) Andrews of Utica, MS., Adam Pank (Patricia) Andrews of Vicksburg, MS., Cheryl (Sammie) Andrews of Rolling Fork, MS. and Tara Andrews of Leland, MS. She also leaves one (1) step-sister Katie (Eddie) Coleman; four (4) step-brothers, Isaiah (Creasie) Washington, James (Mary) Washington, John H. Washington and Larry Washington all of Rolling Fork, MS. , two (2) special nephews, John E. Evans of Rolling Fork, MS., and Quinton Knight .; three (3) sisters-in –law, nineteen (19) grandchildren, twenty-eight (28) great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
