Marilyn June Windom Reynolds was born on July 7, 1955, in Anguilla, Mississippi, to the late Mildred Gipson - Brown and Jessie Windom Jr. As the oldest of five children, Marilyn was raised in a strong Christian home, a foundation that remained central to her life. Despite doctors predicting in her childhood that she would not live past the age of 21, God had a greater plan, blessing her with a full and meaningful life.

Marilyn began her education at North Sharkey Elementary School and later attended Henry Weathers High School, where she graduated. She continued her studies at Natchez Junior College, earning the honor of graduating Cum Laude, before pursuing further education at Alcorn State University. However, after the passing of her mother, she selflessly stepped away from her studies to care for her youngest sisters, Kathy and Linda (Nett).

Marilyn dedicated much of her professional life to serving others. She worked for 19 years in state government services and retired from the Department of Human Services in Rolling Fork, Mississippi. In 1999, she relocated to Chicago, IL. She later returned to Mississippi to care for her father and her final employment was as a manager of Rolling Fork Manor.

Her faith was the cornerstone of her life. Marilyn was deeply involved in various church organizations, serving faithfully until her passing. Under the leadership of Pastor Willie James Dorsey at Mt. Ollie M.B. Church, she was ordained as an Evangelist, a role she embraced wholeheartedly. In 2019, Marilyn joined The Powerhouse Deliverance Temple and served there until her death.

Marilyn was married to Louis Reynolds until his passing in 2022. She found joy in cooking, baking, floral arrangements, taking selfies, and, most of all, serving the Lord.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Gipson - Brown (1997); her father, Jessie Windom Jr. (2016); her beloved husband, Louis Reynolds (2022); her brother, Myron Windom; and her sister, Cynthia Windom.

She leaves to cherish her memory her brothers: Calvin "Maine" Windom (Mary), Herman "Ricky" Windom (Ishbel), Kendrick Johnson, and Eric Windom (Joy); her sisters: Kathy Tatum (Silvester) and Linda "Nett" Thomas (Sammie Sr.); her stepfather, Pastor Roosevelt Brown Sr.; her stepbrothers, Roosevelt "Head" Brown Jr. and Josh "Jo Jo" Brown; her in-laws, the Reynolds family; her god-sister, Lanoria "Babysister" Carter; and her godsons, DaKatrice Davis and Robert Bonner. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, and friends.

Marilyn touched countless lives through her ministry and her love for people, both young and old. She will be deeply missed not only by her sisters and brothers but by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
