On August 28, 2024, God said "Come my child and go with me, no more weary days and restless nights, I have prepared a place for you." Murray Washington, a father, grandfather and great- grandfather, was born June 19, 1941 in Grace, Mississippi to the late Eddie and Queen Washington. He was the youngest of ten children, seven of which preceded him in death.

He attended public school in Washington County and confessed his faith in Jesus Christ at an early age. Murray later met and married Edna Mae, and to this union four children were born. Murray enjoyed sitting still and "Ooooo, just relaxing taking it easy," watching westerns and Lifetime TV.

Murray was preceded in death by his wife Edna Mae, son Murray Jr., parents Eddie and Queen Washington, siblings Freddie, Eddie, Jr., Robert, Anderson, Andrew, Queen and Bernice.

Left in God's care to cherish his memories are children Rosalind (Joe) Hughes of Houston, TX, Dwayne (Catina) Washington, and Dedra (Robert) Turner; seven grandchildren LaWanda Wisdom, Jasmine (BJ) Bell, Jessica Washington, Jasmine Washington, Dwayne Washington, Jr., Dominick Washington, Jada Washington; seven great grandchildren Kason, Khoner, Zion, Makia, Ensley, Donzo and Jacharla; two sisters Josephine Jones of Greenville, MS and Matilda Jenkins of Grace, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
