Pam Griffin was born on June 20, 1971, to the late Hattie and George Griffin Sr. She spent her early childhood in Cary, MS, and received her initial education at Rolling Fork High School in Rolling Fork, MS. After her parents passed away, she moved to Vicksburg, MS, to live with her eldest sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Nathaniel Ross Jr., along with their four children: Evelyn, Eric, Vanessa, and Ava. Pam completed her education at Warren Central High School in Vicksburg, MS, in 1992.

Her greatest joys in life included traveling, dancing, and giving hugs.

On April 5, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family, Pamela lost her battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Vanessa Griffin, and her brothers: Larry Griffin, Melvin Griffin, Gregory Griffin Sr., George Griffin Jr., Ray Charles Griffin, and Phillip Griffin, as well as her honorary mother, Margret Merrill-Ross.

She is survived by two sisters: Linda Ross (Nathaniel Ross Jr.) of Vicksburg, MS, and Lisa Stamps (Ellis Ray Stamps) of Cary, MS; her brother Lawrence Griffin of Cary, MS; Uncle Henry Dorsey (Rosie Lee Dorsey) and Aunt Lorraine Brown of Cary, MS;

Aunt Emma Dorsey of Rolling Fork, MS; sisters-in-law Wanita Griffin and Tara Brown-Griffin of Vicksburg, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
