Roosevelt Lindsey was born in Rolling Fork, MS to the proud parents of Lucille Lindsey and Wiley Odems on October 21, 1951. Roosevelt was preceded in death by his parents, 6 sisters, and five brothers.

Roosevelt leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughters, Mildred (Thomas) Williams of Horn Lake, MS and Vera Deere of Beulah, MS; two sisters, Estella Evans of Fayetteville, AR and Lucille Odems of Bloomington, IL; one brother, William Curtis of Chicago, IL; 10 grandchildren; 3 great- grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
