Tevin De'Clarence Brown, the son of William Pope and the late Angela Lynette Brown, was born on June 4, 1992. He made his transition to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, March 21, surrounded by his loving family, at Merit Health Central Hospital, Jackson, MS.
Tevin's mother demised when he was two years old. His grandmother, Ethel Brown, reared him as her very own.
Tevin accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and was a member of Mt. Lula Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a youth choir member and served on the Usher Board.
He graduated from South Delta High School in 2010 and was a drummer in the marching band. Tevin attended Mississippi Delta Community College and graduated with two Associate's Degrees. He also was a drummer in the MDCC Marching Band.
Tevin was employed at Comcast and most recently at Best Buy Corporate in Technical Customer Services.
Tevin's, AKA Kuntry Grammar, passion was Rap music; he had an exceptional talent for writing lyrics and a burning desire to make it "Big" (as he would say) in the music industry. He loved his music, family, and the Dallas Cowboys.
His mother, Angela Brown, grandmother, Ethel Brown, and granddaddy, Clarence Brown, preceded him in death.
Beautiful memories of Tevin will be cherished by his loving and devoted aunt/mother, Tonia Brown, Rolling Fork, MS; father, William Pope, Pearl, MS; grandmother, Clara Pope, Rolling Fork, MS; great-grandmother, Lottie Davis, Canton, MS; special great aunts and uncles: Pastor Peter and Barbara Jackson, Rolling Fork, MS; Rose and Ben Jackson, Jackson, MS; special cousins: Pierre Jackson, Southaven, MS; Barbara Webb, Kaneija Webb, Rolling Fork, MS; Dexter Webb, Vicksburg, MS; Ryan Wiley, Jackson, MS; Kim Wiley, Canton, MS; life-long friend, Tasia Stewart, Atlanta, GA and a host of other dear relatives and friends.
