Obituary

Graveside services for Wanda Renee Jackson, 53, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 26, at Cary Community Cemetery in Cary, MS. Pastor Willie Dorsey will be officiating. A visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, May 25, in Adele Walker Memorial Chapel at the funeral home.

Wanda Renee Jackson was born September 19, 1967 in Vicksburg, MS. She was proceeded in death by her parents, the late Sadie Hoye and Otha Norwood Jr; her brothers Jeremy Hoye and Hunter Hoye; and survived by her stepfather Walter Hoye. Wanda accepted Christ at an early age. With the life experience beginning in the area of Sharkey /Issaquena County, respectively "Blanton". Wanda later relocated to Greenville, MS where she resided until she departed this earth.

Wanda obtained her high school diploma from Rolling Fork High School in 1987. She continued to enhance her education by also obtaining an undergraduate degree from Delta State University and a graduate Degree from Mississippi Valley State University; both in social work. She fulfilled her aspiration all while aspiring to become a Licensed Social Worker.

With her degree in Social Work, she worked various human service capacities, namely mental health, child support, juvenile services among others in her 20 plus years of rendered services.

Wanda's most greatest and recent accomplishments was getting inducted into Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. She looked forward in engaging with fellow sisters of her sorority, while providing community service and the eventual opportunities to attend State and National Conferences. Wanda was definitely honored and very pleased to be representing the "Blue and White, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority".

Wanda's Larger than Life personality enhanced her well-being of life. Being such an amazing pillar in her community made her very well-known for her Outspoken personality.

Wanda departed her earthly home, April 30, 2021. She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved children, Eddie(Elayjah) Jackson, Domonique(David)Jackson-McNeal, and Robert(Jennifer) Bailey Jr. all of Greenville, MS; her stepfather, Walter Hoye of Blanton, MS; her sisters, Janice Hoye of Vicksburg, MS, Gloria Hoye of Dallas,TX, Jacqueline Binder of Lawton, OK, Kathy(William)Johnson of Anguilla, MS, Diane Hoye of Rolling Fork, MS and Sharon Stewart of Chicago, IL; her brothers, Doaby Hoye of Greenville, MS, Walter Buckner Jr. of Mckinney, TX, Tramaine Williams of Chicago, IL, Will(Terri) Jones of Vicksburg, MS, and Johnnie Britton of Atlanta, GA; a very special Aunt, Thelma Barnum of Portland, Oregon.

Wanda had unconditional love for her twelve grandchildren and undeniable love for the host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends whom loved her just as dearly.
