Graveside services for Zabrina Brown, 42, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 24, at New Bethel MB Church Cemetery in Mayersville, MS. Pastor Travis J. Gully will be officiating. Ms.Brown died on April 13, 2021 at Sharkey- Issaquena Community Hospital in Rolling Fork.
On July 7, 1978, Alfred and Minnie Brown were blessed with a little girl that they hoped for. Zabrina Lenae Brown.
Zabrina confessed Christ as her Lord and Savior at New Bethel Baptist Church, Mayersville, Mississippi, at an early age. She later added Rosehill Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor W.C. Wallace. She later moved her membership to Mt.Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Cary, Mississippi where she remained a member until her death under the leadership of Pastor Travis Gully.
Zabrina graduated from Rolling Fork High School in Rolling Fork, MS in 1996. She attended Dudley College in Chicago, Illinois, graduating with a degree in Cosmetology. Zabrina worked along side her mother at Rolling Fork Beauty Charm until her mother's health began to fail.
Zabrina's parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts and a nephew preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memories her two children Mi'Nia Z. Harrison and Ashlon M. Brown of Mayersville, MS; five brothers: Alfred Brown, III of Vicksburg, MS, Adrian (Sherrie) Brown of Mayersville, MS, Malcolm Merrell of Vicksburg, MS, Derek Willis of Memphis, TN, and Donavan Brent of Elizabethtown, KY; one uncle, Lawrence (Bea) Brown of Greenville, MS ; six aunts: Henrene Sharkey of Greenville, MS, Louella Bell of Rolling Fork, MS, Alice Deransburg, Violette Leggette, and Caroline Robinson of Walls, MS, and Laura (Otis) Nelson of Somerset, NJ; four nephews: Alfred R. Brown, IV of Vicksburg, MS, S'Avier Merrell of Atlanta, GA, Cameron Stamps of Cary, MS and Dominique Ross of Austin, TX; three nieces: Marissa S. Brown of Vicksburg, MS, Gabrielle Nichols of Belzoni, MS and Ma'Cala Merrell of Vicksburg, MS; a special cousin, Neci France of Dallas, TX; a special friend, Leonard "Pee Wee" Williams of Rolling Fork, MS; her godsister, Gloria Prince; and her closest friends: Peggy Thomas, Ramona Jones, Liz Cartlidge and Mary Alice Smith.
